2 HC volumes in hardcover slipcase, 10" x 13" (ca. 25cm x 33cm), published by Russ Cochran, EC, 1984 Edited & written by A. Feldstein, W.M. Gaines & others. Reprinting "Panic" comic books issues #1 - 12 in b / w with beautiful color reproductions of the original covers inside and on the hardcoverbooks / slipcase covers. With the success of the Harvey Kurtzman edited MAD, EC decided to launch an imitation of their own. Panic managed a respectable run of twelve issues (1954-55). The same artistry found at MAD is available here, with Will Elder, Wally Wood, Jack Davis & John Severin. There is much enjoyment to be found under the editorship of Al Feldstein. He would take over MAD in 1956 & turn it into an American institution.
