Photo #2:

Vintage press photograph showing The Beatles aboard their bus while producing their "Magic Mystery Tour" (movie) in 1967.

The Beatles filmed a trip along a handful of actors encouraged to invent their own characters, hoping the results would have to be magical. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case, with most of the passengers "acting" like anybody would while traveling with no "magical" destination actually planned out. John and George weren't interested in playing parts, and spent most of the trip sleeping or avoiding the cameras, while their bus attracted curious onlookers, who began following them in droves. Lennon ultimately ordered the bus be stopped, then got out and personally tore the lettering off the sides, to end the spectacle. described later as "The most expensive home movie ever made."

Size: 17cm x 22cm
Process: Gelatin silver print FB paper.
Dates: Shot and printed in 1967.
Condition: Good with minor waviness.
