Jean-Simon Peynaud (Bordeaux, 1869-1952) worked for the ceramic manufacturer Bordelaise Vieillard, well known to the Girondists, creating artworks with unique shapes and often very small, decorated by hand in the style of Amédée de Caranza, with whom he probably shared the atelier.
