Most of the tempranillo comes from the viña Pomal, located in the municipality of Leza, Rioja Alavesa, together with small consignments of parcels in the outskirts of Haro. The wine stays initially for 12 months in big tinos of old wood, in which malolactic fermentation takes place and stabilized before being racked for their subsequent ageing in wood.
