Catherine is born in Odessa, a Ukrainian city located in the Soviet empire

At the age of twenty, she studied sculpture in Monaco where she met her husband, Alexander Barjansky, the famous violinist whose name is now inseparable from a Stradivarius!

She began working with Charles Catteau in 1935 and her name is now well known and her works were exhibited in Rome, Berlin, New York, Vienna, Paris, Brussels are very now sought after

Boch Frères Kéramis (Begium, La Louviere) is well known through the work of Charles Catteau

This sculpture is one of the 9 listed works manufactured by BFK and is a very rare piece

Signed at the back 'C. Barjansky'

Marked on the bottom 'BFK Made in Belgium'
