This Carven Boutique Paris 1960s fire engine red jacket with black trim and gold buttons is an original vintage haute couture jacket.
For those unfamiliar with the brand, Carven was founded in 1945 by Carmen de Tommaso and took the world of fashion by storm in the 1950s with pink chequer dresses, counting among its most illustrious clients Parisian singer Edith Piaf.
The jacket is in mint condition. The first four pictures are taken in daylight, the last two inside. The colour is best represented on the first four pictures!
It was handmade in France (see label)l. The handwritten label also mentions the size and material. This vintage size 44 is comparable to a current size 42.
