A beautiful set of Teffilin
head (shel rosh) and hand (shel yad) phylacteries
very fancy
handcrafted by a rebbai from central europe in early 20th century
made of cow leather
Phylacteries are an iconic jewish symbol
of any jewish male who accepts the burden of Mitzvahs on him
at age 13 (Bar Mitzvah ceremony).
Only males wear Teffilin their whole life, starting from the Bar Mitzvah, every morning
during praying.
Inside the small leather boxes, there's a hand-written parchment
about the holy contract between G-d and the jewish male,
This set includes both head and hand teffilin, which should be worn on the forehead and on the arm.
