The book shows some edge and corner wear with rubbing, lightly evenly sunned to the spine, some uneven fading to the front cover as shown in the photos, former owners name in neat ink to the front paste down endpaper, some foxing to the endpapers, one or two pages show some grubby finger marks, contents are fresh clean and tight. Just So Stories for Little Children is a 1902 collection of origin stories by the British author Rudyard Kipling. Considered a classic of children's literature, the book is among Kipling's best known works. This collection of Kipling's well-known animal stories, including "How the Whale Got his Throat," "The Elephant's Child," and "The Butterfly That Stamped." With author's illustrations throughout. Kipling began working on the book by telling the first three chapters as bedtime stories to his daughter Josephine. For the book, Kipling illustrated the stories himself.
