The typewriter you can see in the attached photos is a 1931 TORPEDO and works perfectly. As you can see, the typewriter is in mint condition.
Brothers Peter and Heinrich Weil founded the TORPEDO company in 1896, which was originally dedicated to the manufacture of bicycles called WEIL-RÄDER and TORPEDO-RÄDER. In 1905, they bought the firm Johan Wölker & Co. which had introduced HASSIA to the market, a typewriter that, after some improvements, was transformed into the first Torpedo typewriter "TORPEDO 2". It was introduced in the market in 1906. In 1931, most of the shares were purchased by Remington Rand of the United States.
