Lovis Corinth (21 July 1858 – 17 July 1925) was a German artist and writer whose mature work as a painter and printmaker realized a synthesis of impressionism and expressionism.

This color lithograph is part of the illustrated edition of Friedrich Schiller's play Wilhelm Tell (William Tell). Published by Karl Nierendorf.

It is Hand signed. It is elegantly framed. In very good condition. Slight marks on the frame

Corinth joined the Berlin Secession group and he succeeded Max Liebermann as the group's president.

He was a key figure of this group which counted as notable members to artist like: Leo von König, Ernst Oppler, Emil Orlik, Max Beckmann, Erich Hekel, Klinger, Kirchner, Hodler, Emil Nolde..
