In auction a chondrite meteorite that was found in Sahara desert and bought to a Moroccan dealer in 2018. Chondrites are called so because they have chondrules, tiny spheres that are considered the first solid material of the Solar System. They also have tiny particles of iron.
This specimen conserves a nice and smooth shape in most parts.
Fusion crust, or fusion rind, is a thin melted surface layer of thermally transformed components of a meteorite. Fusion crust forms when meteoroids enter the gas atmosphere of our planet at speeds between 15 and 70 kilometers per second.
