Beautiful old master drawing of the harbour of Venice.
It is framed in its original antique frame; with new acid free materials.
The paper is browned because of it's age and has some foxing. Overall in very good condition and preserved for future generations.
It comes from a private Dutch collection.
The drawing depicts a few ships at the docks with the harbour and the Doge's Palace in the background.
The signature is hard to read, but someone will certainly recognize it.
Francesco Lazzaro Guardi was an Italian painter of veduta, nobleman, and a member of the Venetian School. He is considered to be among the last practitioners, along with his brothers, of the classic Venetian school of painting.
It will be carefully packed and shipped by registered and insured mail.
