The ceramic work has title “White Lennon” and consists of nine rectangular plates measuring 35 x 50 cm, each one in its wooden frame. The 9 plates, each one in a wooden frame, must be fixed to the wall one by one. In the order of three by three they form a rectangle of 1 m x 1.5 m approx.
The plates are made of white pottery and underwent a double firing. They are covered with a light veil of mat paint, that gives the whole composition a white, slightly straw-yellow colour, and they depict a single portrait of John Lennon. The shipping includes nine pieces 35 x 50, representing the 9 ceramic plates.
The strong innovation comes from the particular engravings that, with the aid of a grazing light, allow a view of unexpected photographic sharpness.
We can say that the work has a “pop conceptual” origin.
