Famille verte cup and saucer – China – first half of 18th Century
On offer is a nice and large Chinese export porcelain famille verte cup and saucer dating to the first half of the 18th Century; late Kangxi to early Qianlong – 1720 to 1740. Both cup and saucer have a nice decoration of geese at a river side. Both cup and saucer have a strap border with zig zag lines typically for early 18th century pieces. At the outside they are covered with a fine Batavia brown glaze. Very good condition!
Condition: Very good condition; Cup only 1 small frit. Saucer only 1 footrim chip, probably from firing proces. Further no frits chips or hairline! Small firing faults are normal for porcelain of this age.
Size: The saucer measures about 13,5cm across. The cup measures about 8,1cm across.
