Small restoration on the blade
The auxiliaries (Latin auxilium "help") were part of the Roman army from allied nations or the inhabitants (without civil rights = peregrini) recruited in the border provinces.
The short blade shape was used by Roman foot troops and the longer blade shape (Spatha) in cavalry.
Dating: 100 - 200 AD
Total length: 69 cm
Condition: good stable substance, double-edged, blades jagged blade-shape (6.5 cm)
The sword comes from my private collection, before: collection L.K. before old German collection
