German-Photo Diary Album of Gefr. Willi Dausend during his Pioneer Officers Candidate School(Fähnriche) / 1 Pi. Batl. 6 (1st Pioniere/Pioneers Battalion 6)

Gefr. Willi Dausend Graduated and became an officer in the Pioneer Batl. 49. He went to war and was killed on 03.02.1942 in the "Schlacht am Wolchow/Battle of Wolchow". The battle of Wolchow was an offensive of the Red Army from 7 January to 30 April 1942.

15 pages with 76 ORIGINAL photos of Willi Dausend going through his Pioneer Officers Candidate Schooling. I have never seen such an Album before and I consider this a RARE one! It even shows them during their Driving Schooling with a blown motor!! LOL;-)

All photos are marked with the correct wartime "Agfa Eupex" logo and other original photograph markings. This album is full of history from 1934-1936, and some really great one-of-a-kind photos that could not be found anywhere else!

Some highlights of the photos, in my opinion:

Photo#2
The soldiers locker. **Notice the Pioneer Dress Bayonet/Dagger hanging on the door!** I remember from my Military days how "Dress-Right-Dress" we had to keep our lockers!!

Photo#
General Friedrich Dollmann, Commander of the Commander of the Military District IX, (Later of 7th Army). This photo is one of a kind! It was taken during autumn maneuvers in 1936 shortly after he was promoted to a Full General along with 11 other officers of the twelve Wehrkreise but before he became the Commander of the 7th Army! Dollmann's son, who had aspired to the rank of lieutenant in the 15th Infantry Regiment, was killed during the campaign against Poland. There is many mysteries behind this man!

Photo#
The big day, 1935, the swearing-in of the soldiers as they have finished their schooling and are now full soldiers!

Photo#
This is an amazing photo of the Pionier-Bataillon 49 Barracks in Hann. Münden! He has also marked his room with an X.
