This woodblock is a realistic depiction of Mt. Fuji views.
It was published after his death in 1859.
In spite of "100" Mt. Fuji views, it is said that it was drawn only 20 views in fact.
This series is unfinished by Hiroshige's death.
He was conscious of "Fugaku hyakkei" (A Hundred Views of Mt. Fuji) painted by Katsushika Hokusai and made a general comment that Hokusai had described Mt.Fuji as a supporting role.
On the other hand, Hiroshige painted Fuji more realistically.
