Very rare and big flintlock tilting rifle for the British Navy, circa 1770-1800:
It is a small tilting barrel of the British Navy's Barnett brand used by the Royal Navy during the war of the American Revolution and the Napoleonic wars that followed.
Thomas Barnett began working in London in 1750 until 1800, when the company became Barnett & son.
The set weighs approx. 11.5 kg.
The lock is marked by the manufacturer Barnett.
The thunder features the British regulatory markings, the very solid wood is walnut and all the fittings are brass.
It is complete with all original parts (very rare) including its tilting support and rod.
There's a beautiful old patina on the iron.
There is no shortage, no defect, it is in a condition close to new.
