Pair of French Officer combat pistols, Consulate period 1799/1804 model, transformed into percussion late 1820`s, in case.Round Barrels , with 13 cm long, smooth bore , highly affected by moisture being hardly cleaned,Plain steel garrisons and shinning patine. Plain locks ; Checkered walnut stocks with carved decorations in back of stock and around lock ( same bosses here and there) . Wood rods with steel caps (one with substituted cap and bullet pull over slightly crooked).Hook belt on side plate.Mechanically perfect in armed and security positions. Proof mark or signature of ST. ETIENNE

In a Mahogany case, central scutcheon in brass, not used, with key ( this is not is original case). Interior lined with velvet, compartmentalized, containing: Apocryphal brass powder flask ; lubrificant bottle, unmarked; apocryphal box, brass, unmarked for fulminant, XIX century steel mold and screwdriver with cable in rosewood.
