The chess game is titled "The seven-year war" and is based on the military conflict, which Frederick the Great, and Empress Maria Theresia, Archduchess of Austria, fought from 1756 to 1763. The figures are made in solid pewter, brass and enamelled base edge, and represent authentic portrait sculptures of the heroes of the two opposing armies.
The chess board itself has a leather cover and is decorated with 22-carat gold and set in a mahogany frame. The chess board doubles as a cover for the box, in which all 32 chess pieces are stored.
Sizes: approx. 36.5 x 36.5 x 9 cm, the figures measure between 4.2 and 6.2 cm in height. Base diameter 20 mm.
