Interesting antique projectile hunting crossbow. Dating: mid-18th century This type of crossbows were used mainly for hunting birds and small game from the late 16th century until the early 19th century.
The object is simple, probably used by farmers but larger than those used by the noble people, the grip made of national wood is shaped like a rifle stock, the iron bow with outer horns is fixed to the grip by two rings pulled by wedges.
The two original twisted strings are held in place by wooden spacers and they are fixed at the ends of the bow.
The projectile housing consists of a rope pocket positioned in the middle between the two ropes.
