Large antique manuscript by a Moroccan Arab scholar on antique paper. The year it was created is unknown (judging by the type of writing, it is probably 18th century).
There are about 132 loose leaf pages with 35 lines in vocalized Naskh writing alternated black and red ink; on strong brown linen paper, notes in the margins explain the content and ideas in the text, the larger manuscript collected by its owner in a leather binding decorated in gold remains fresh thanks to the thickness of the linen paper. Some pages are torn but not seriously.
Large size: 36 x 28 cm
What you see is a manuscript of Islamic law / fikgh / Ruhani/ poetry... very interesting. This is a handwritten manuscript without title and the author is anonymous. It is undated, but apparently more than 250 years old. Collected in a leather binding made by its former owner, golden Morocco decoration. Bought from a private owner.
