The robes are richly decorated with jewels over the whole body, and an elaborate hair style.
It is in very good condition overall with natural veining of the ivory, consistent with age.
As shown in the photos there is a small glued piece in the area of the natural veining.

Japanese artefact from the Meiji period (circa 1890-1910).
