THE TEK SING'S TREASURE
This artefact is part of the treasure of the Chinese legendary commerce junk, the Tek Sing (True Star). It sank in the South China Seas in 1822, resulting in 1,800 deaths. It carried the largest porcelain cargo ever found.
This piece bears the label of the original collection of the Nagels Auction House in Stuttgart, where the cargo was finally sold at the largest auction to this date, 178 years later, in November 2000.
In very good condition, with the usual traces of underwater excavation pieces.
