Okimono - Elephant ivory - Complete group with rooster and hen - Tokyo School - Japan - Meiji period (1868-1912)
Okimono in monobloc ivory depicting rooster and hen with caterpillar, finely carved in the details of the feathers and their classic posture.
The Tokyo school in this case expresses all the ability to stop the moment and resume the natural and clear sensations that we find in reality.
Good condition: the hen's foot has been glued back on - slight chipping on the end of the rooster's feathers - see photos.
