Renée Durant is born and raised in Brussels, a true autodidact painter.
She is ispired by the Dada Movement, Abstract Expressionism and Outsider art. With Cy Twombly, William Blake and Raoul De Keyser as her ’spiritual forefathers’
and direction indicators she challenges herself to make sincere art. Durand’s paintings are sensitive, intimate expressions with oil paint, acryl, and crayon.
The strength in her work comes from contrast in colors and line work. Each painting should be approached as if you were reading a poem.
