Hadrosaurus - Tand - Hedmontosaurus sp. - 6.2×2.1×1.9 cm

Omschrijving
Hadrosaurus - Tand - Hedmontosaurus sp. - 6.2×2.1×1.9 cm
Late Cretaceous(65-74 Mya) - Drumheller, Alberta-Canada

Spectacular complete tooth of a Hadrosauridae, without wear, is not frequent. It measures 6.2 cm long x 2.1 cm wide x 1.9 cm thick. It is cracked, but everything is original. Hadrosaurs had a huge battery of small teeth (up to 900 in some species) in their mouths to grind through tough vegetation and they would dump their teeth as they wear out called "spitters" but they are small and look like small blocks.

Hadrosaurs are often known as duck-billed dinosaurs and are members of the Hadrosauridae family of ornithischians.
