Hunter Mask Kran people
The Kran and Guere (Wè) are a subgroup of the Dan ethnic group, established in a part of Liberia, and also, to a lesser extent, in Ivory Coast. However, their artistic styles are very different of the aesthetic rules of the Dan.
Kran masks are usually quite rustic, with very geometric lines. This one stands out by the beak carved with teeth.
Remains of libatory patina, with animal hair.
The antiquity is estimated between the 1960s and the 1970s.
