Karl Blossfeldt (*13 June 1865 in Schielo - 9 December 1932 in Berlin) was a German photographer best known for his strictly formal plant photographs. He is regarded as a photo-artistic representative of the New Objectivity. Its influence on subsequent generations of photographers cannot be overestimated.
