Very smoky, with berry, coffee and tobacco aromas. Full-bodied, with polished velvety tannins, plenty of fruit and a cedary aftertaste. Tight and compacted. This is better than the 2000 Mouton. Solid and very, very fine. Persists for a long time on the palate.
This wine has been in our wine cellar for many years. This photo was photographed in our photo studio. I used to be a wine merchant, but now a photographer. All our photos are originally photographed by us.

In 1853 bought Baron Nathaniel de Rothschild the Château because he had the intention of serving his own wine to his prestigious guests. He renamed it Château Mouton-Rothschild. Mouton-Rothschild was finally promoted to the 1st growth category (Premier Grand Cru Classé). This is the one of the very few changes in the 1855 Classification so far.
