Brunello di Montalcino Riserva di Caparzo is produced only and exclusively in the best vintages, from grapes personally selected by the oenologist Massimo Bracalente.
The grapes come from the vineyards located in the north of Montalcino at an altitude of 220 meters above sea level and partly from the vineyards located south of Montalcino at 270 meters above sea level. In both cases the vineyards are on Pliocene sandy-stony matrix soils and facing south, south-east.
The Reserve reaches its best expression after a few years from bottling.
Produced in a limited number of bottles, the Riserva is intended for an audience of particularly prepared and attentive fans. A classic and complete reserve capable of awakening unique sensations in the most expert palates. The first vintage of Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva Caparzo is dated 1980. The wine is characterized by a longevity that can even reach 40 years.
