On the edition: It’s the first published edition, from 1926, during his stay in Chile.
In 1926, he published Tentativa del hombre infinito, El habitante y su esperanza, and Anillos. The latter was written along with Tomás Lago, which is a rarity.
On the participation of Tomás Lago in the work: The link between T. Lago and P. Neruda is the student magazine Ratos Ilustrados, by which his friendship was born. The activities and concerns of both poets were in parallel and coupled in such a way that in 1926 they bore fruit with the publication of Anillos.
About the composition: the collection of poems is composed of twenty poems; ten by Pablo Neruda and ten by Tomás Lago. The work is very well balanced, there is no abuse of textual superiority of one author over the other, the poems are arranged in turns, which causes a connotation of defiance or rivalry.
