A polychrome earthenware work, made with great attention to detail; the serene facial features express the charisma of the Saint and his devout attention to the suffering of Christ on the cross.
The liturgical vestments perfectly match the style of the time the saint lived in. The craftsmanship is very fine and accurate down to the detail: the tunic drapery is realistic and renders well the body’s movement. The statue has had some small restoration works done at different times. This confirms it is a valuable object, highly regarded by its previous owners (probably a religious order).
