Workshop of Pablo de Rojas (1549/1611). Born in Alcalá la Real (Jaén) he was a teacher of Martínez Montañés. He settled in Granada in 1579, and devoted himself to religious sculpture such as the Monastery of the Jerónimos of Granada and the works of Jesus tied to the column of the church of San Matías and Nuestro Padre Jesús de Priego of Córdoba. He is the greatest exponent of the Granada School of the 16th and 17th centuries.
The pictorial layer is repainted in the cloak area. The estofado technique of sleeves and bottom of the cloak is all original. Glass eyes. Crown and crescent in Meneses silver. Some frictions on hands and vertical of the cloak. The rest in very acceptable condition.
