Ex-voto or devotional painting depicting the scene of the empty tomb, recounted in the four canonical Gospels, the episode in which the Holy Women (Mary of Magdala ...) find the tomb of Jesus of Nazareth empty, without his body, on the Sunday following his crucifixion.
You can see the angel announcing the imminent resurrection of Jesus, his crown of thorns and in the distance the Golgotha, the mountain on which he was crucified.

The painting is painted on canvas, glued on wood. The details are finely crafted.
An inscription on the back recounting its rediscovery in 1972 by the previous owner.
