Beautiful and unique gift of the officers of the 23rd artillery regiment to their colonel, 1939 (city of Trieste)
It is a small chest/document holder with two compartments, as shown in the pictures.
Peculiar craftsmanship with the coats of arms of the monarchy and of the 23rd artillery regiment stamped on the side of the wood (see photos).
At the centre, on the top, is an accessory in the shape of a colonel cap (movable).
The item features a working lock and key as shown in the photos.
Finally, inside it has a plate referring to the gift with the following inscription: “Gli ufficiali del 23 artiglieria Sassari al loro colonnello Silvio Rossi Trieste 1939”
In good/excellent condition

Never restored, kept in a cellar for over 40 years.
