With regard to the history of the typewriter brand, we can say that it was the idea of two Germans, S.Bettmann and M.Schulte, who lived in England and decided to found the "Triumph Cycle Company Ltd" in 1890. Six years later, in 1896 they established a branch in Nuremberg (Germany) called "Triumph-Fahrrad-Werke AG". In 1903 they introduced motorcycles. It would not be until 1911, after taking over the Noriga typewriter factory in 1909, that the first TRIUMPH brand machine was marketed.
In this lot I offer you a fascinating TRIUMPH Durabel with its original box and an excellent state of conservation.
