Zeldzame hartvormige wereldkaart van Johannes Honter
Rare heart-shaped world map by Johannes Honter published in Johannes Stumpf's famous work Gemeiner loblicher Eyd-gnoschafft Stetten, Landen vnd Völckeren Chronick wirdiger thaaten beschreybung, published 1548 in Zürich. The map is based on Waldseemuller’s important map of 1516 and Apian’s map of 1520. Cut by Heinrich Vogtherr the Elder, whose monogram appears at bottom left as HVE.
Including a map of Sicily on verso.
