Rare and beautiful tiles with patterns designed and created by Piero Fornasetti, produced by Ceramica Bardelli in Vittuone, in the province of Milan
These tiles are part of the tile series called 'Macchine Volanti 1', which comprises 24 pieces (1 + 4 white accompanying pieces).
Dimensions: 20 x 20 cm
After around 30 years, the Bardelli company stopped production of Fornasetti tiles, therefore making them practically impossible to find.
Macchine Volanti 1
Single hot air balloons, in pairs and in groups Airships without flight and landing plans Sailboats ready to spread their wings over the waves and soar off to the stars You don't have to fasten your seatbelt before you let your imagination fly. Or to open a private air museum, in the space of your home. In his father's room, the young Piero freshened up his room with trompe l'oeil motifs, reserving even then a privileged place, right on the plaster of the ceiling, for his first flying machines. With their innate lightness, they still ask us to challenge the laws of gravity and everyday life.
