ca. late 3rd–early 2nd millennium B.C.
A large, elegant Bactrian civilisation vessel. In a lovely mottled honey alabaster, set on a slightly flared foot, the long stem rises up to a cup ending in a prominent everted rim. This sleek, abstract piece has an almost modern aesthetic.
Purchased by the current owner in 2020 in London from an ancient art gallery (C.J.), previously owned before 70's.
