A Louis XVI style corner cupboard, 1900-1920
Painted wood, unrestored.
A stunning poplar 5-corner cupboard (four visible), with central drawer and working key.
Flanked by two 15 cm x 103 cm side panels, a top with two elegant ledges, the first of which has three cuts, the second single edging is the last one resting on the hoof, also with three cuts.
The piece features a painted Greek frieze decoration at the top and three decorations, one on the main door and one per each side.
Two-tiered cabinet with three spaces covered with paper and a layer of leather on the inside of the door.
It looks magnificent, unrestored, found exactly as seen in the pictures,
I don’t know whether the leather layer has added at a later time, since it is well preserved inside.
It has been only cleaned up and treated with nourishing beeswax.
Fortunately, no piece is missing, some old holes typical of poplar wood and normal wear and tear.
