Books richly adorned with gorgeous tipped-in colour illustrations under tissue by Ansaldi - Some are double page - At the end of each volume, a series in sepia of tipped-in illustrations.
Superbly decorated luxury edition. Full grained red leather binding. Each cover has golden bands and miniature blind-stamped drawings. Spine with 5 raised bands with gilded titles and motifs, gilt topstains. In hardcover slipcases lined in leather - the series are not numbered (about 30pp/vols).
Edition complete with its certificate of authenticity numbered 405.
Excellent condition. Interior like new. Light marks of wear on the slipcase and spine - see photos.
