French sword bayonet from the Tulles weapons factory, 1874 model, manufactured in September 1876.
Brass pommel / wooden grip plates, held in place by 2 steel rivets / cross-guard also held in place by 2 rivets / Back of the pommel is raised, with fuller groove along its entire length.
Blade: T-section, manufacturer's name and the month and year of manufacture engraved on the back.
Bronze-plated all-steel sheath.

Traces of corrosion pitting on the blade and marks on the pommel from impact.
