Kabuto - Gelakt metaal - Samurai - 32 plate sujikabuto-helmet, black lacquered with real stag antlers & a rare maedate with sun & waves - Japan - Edo Periode (1600-1868)

Thirty-two plate sujikabuto-helmet, black lacquered with real stag antlers placed at both sides of the helmet (wakidate); four neckguards (shikoro); small fukikaeshi with a silver relief of a sixteen petal chrysanthemum crest (juroku yogiku mon). In front of the helmet is a maedate with round metal sun rising out off gilded wooden waves (nichirin ni nami mon).
In nice original condition with some light traces of age. Edo period.
