Beautiful antique shell-shaped silver butter dish. Designed in a luxurious rococo fashion, this would have adorned the tables of high society in Britain at the dusk of the Victorian era. The fluted dish is balanced on three delicate feet with a large lip on which one may balance the butter knife.
Fully hallmarked to James Deakin & Sons of Matilda Street, Sheffield. Dated to 1904.
Excellent antique condition. Has staining/scratching on face and some minor staining on the back.
