Rare extendable silver plate stand made in Milan in the first half of the 20th century.
The stand shows the typical features of the Empire style, and a mix between a leaf decoration and geometric elements.
This item was used by the butler to hold hot plates/trays and bring them on the table, avoid scalding.
Very rare piece.
