This beautiful bit of the Moon is paired to NWA 11273 meteorite (found in Algeria in 2017), due to the geographical proximity of finding. It is a feldspathic breccia: notice the impressive anorthosite clasts, embedded in the darker matrix of silicate minerals. This piece has an exact weight of 1.966 grams.
Lunar meteorites are the only rocks we have of our natural satellite, apart from those collected in situ by the different space missions. They have an incalculable scientific value, and also as pieces for collecting. But, in addition, they have a poetic and romantic charm that transcends in all the cultures around the world.
It is a unique occasion to make the perfect gift for Christmas or to complete your collection!
Certificate of authenticity is included. I usually ship orders the morning after the auction.
