1 volume in landscape 4º. ANTIQUE HAND-ILLUMINATED COPY. Frontispiece and 12 antique hand-illuminated and copper-engraved plates. Minor damage on the exterior side margin of the title page. It affect the plate. Quarter binding. ‘La tauromaquia of Noseret is a somewhat reduced imitation of the twelve plates of Antonio Carnicero. Goya himself took one of Noseret drawings as a source of inspiration for his work La tauromaquia. We have little information about this intaglio engraver, who was active in Madrid during the late 18th century and the early 19th. He was a pupil of Manuel Salvador Carmona at the Royal Academy of Saint Ferdinand in Madrid. He participated in the collections of prints that were published at the end of the 18th century as a result of the illustrated policy: the Flying Artillery, the Company for the Engraving of the Paintings of the King of Spain, and the Collection of Illustrious Spaniards. In addition to that, he engraved plates for devotional images and portraits. In 1795, he published Colección de las principales suertes de una corrida de toros, copying the series of plates engraved five years earlier by Antonio Carnicero.’ [Prado Museum.
