2 early 1860ies French tissue " hold to light " stereo cards of a scene in Switzerland and a scene of a mid 1800 household. Tissue views are constructed in a special way to enable them to be viewed illuminated from the front for a normal 'day' appearance in monochrome, or illuminated from the back, transforming the view into a 'night' scene, in which hidden colors and objects magically appear. Very strong image of the household card with many deatails.
