1 large octavo volume (197 x 155 mm), long-grained red morocco (period binding), the covers are framed in a roulette pattern of gilded sphinxes and urns and with a blind-stamped roulette, gilt figure C.T. in the centre, decorated smooth spine. Very good condition.

119-sheet manuscript, ruled, written in brown ink only on the front (except for the table), regular and very readable writing.

It consists of a title, 3 sheets of table and 116 sheets each indicating a military matter (regiment, battalion, organization, establishment, material elements...) the order or regulation on which they depend, the publication date and the administrative organization where it was published.

Superb binding with the initials of Marquis, Aimé-Marie’s Gaspard de Clermont-Tonerre’s (1812-1889), Minister of War who was responsible for the reorganisation of the Army.

The copy contains an ex-dono on the title in the hand of the editor of the book the Deputy Military Intendant Vauchelle, his old friend.
